About UPNJ
At UPNJ, our mission is to empower and uplift the next generation of leaders by providing mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for children and teens in underserved communities. Founded in 2014, we have dedicated ourselves to serving the youth of Passaic County, New Jersey.
We primarily focus on young girls, whom we affectionately call “Urban Princesses,” ages 9 to 17. We also offer mentorship to boys in the same age group, ensuring that all children in our community have access to the tools they need to succeed.
What we do
Through our personalized mentoring programs, we strive to build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem, while helping our mentees navigate life’s challenges and discover their true potential. We create safe spaces where children feel valued and heard.
By working together with local families, schools, and community organizations, we create a network of support that fosters growth and success.
We are committed to making a lasting impact, not only in the lives of the youth we serve but in the fabric of our community as a whole. Together, we are building a future where every child, regardless of their background, has the chance to thrive.
